Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather just made a sensational announcement on his Instagram account.
In a chance run-in with fellow all-time great and Philippine senator Manny Pacquiao in Japan, Mayweather stated that he is coming out of retirement to face boxing’s only eight-division champion one more time.
“All work is what? Easy work! Point to the easy work!” he said while pointing at Pacquiao.
Pacquiao just laughed it off, saying that he wants his belt back.
Mayweather and Pacquiao duked it out in a bout dubbed as the Fight of the Century last May 2, 2015. And it was a blockbuster draw as it became the highest-grossing fight of all-time.
Mayweather won the contest via a unanimous decision, 116-112×2, 118-110.
The undefeated American went on to take on two more opponents, capping his 50th career win against two-division mixed martial arts champion Conor McGregor.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, had four more fights – winning all but one. His last fight came against Lucas Matthysse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Pacquiao is currently a free agent.
