A tense goalless stalemate between Far Eastern University and Beach Hut headlined Matchday 6 of the PFF Futsaliga presented by the Philippine Sports Commission, as the race for semifinal berths intensified across both the men’s and women’s divisions.
In the women’s division at the House of Futsal, FEU and Beach Hut battled to a 0–0 draw in a highly tactical showdown marked by defensive discipline and sharp organization on both ends.
Tenelyn Otom anchored Beach Hut’s backline with an outstanding defensive display to earn Player of the Match honors, effectively neutralizing FEU’s attacking threats.
Despite the stalemate, both sides secured their spots in the Cup semifinals, preserving their unbeaten runs.
Elsewhere, University of Makati produced a dominant attacking masterclass, with Taif Salama firing five goals to power the Herons to a commanding 12–1 win over Forza.
The victory kept UMak firmly in the semifinal conversation in the women’s division, with Salama earning her third Bootcamp Player of the Match award on Matchday 6 at the Philsports Arena.
In another women’s fixture, UMak finally broke through earlier in the competition with a convincing 6–1 victory over Sporting QC, where a well-balanced team performance defined their breakthrough win. Dyn Rebosura led the charge and was named Player of the Match.
“Kinompose namin ang sarili namin, more on passing, more on communication. Nag-improve kami as a team, as one,” Rebosura said.
Rebosura, a transwoman, also highlighted the inclusive environment within the league.
“Tinitignan talaga kung ano ang skills mo, ano ang contribution mo… ito ang magiging start na hindi lang pala straight ang pwedeng maglaro ng futsal. Ang maganda sa PFF at PSC, di nila jinudge ang gender ko para maging Player of the Match,” she said.
In the men’s division, Azkals Development Club continued their strong campaign with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over previously unbeaten Philippine Women’s University.
Kenzo Chua delivered a standout performance to earn Player of the Match honors as ADC capitalized on a strong first-half showing to remain the only unbeaten side in the division.
MJ Libre, meanwhile, delivered a sensational hat trick to power Tondo to a 7–3 win over PUP Radicals in their Manila derby. The victory marked Tondo’s second straight win, keeping them firmly in the hunt for a semifinal spot heading into the final matchday.
ADC further strengthened its semifinal bid on the women’s side with a 4–2 win over Enderun College. Caitlin Panilan set the tone early, scoring twice in the opening five minutes to seize control of the match.
“Need talaga namin must-win, kasi ang standing namin ngayon isn’t safe, may matalo na isa, laglag,” said ADC head coach Segundo Saluria Jr., as his squad remains in contention alongside Enderun and UMak for the remaining semifinal slots.
Azzurri SC also kept their campaign alive with a crucial 4–3 win over PWU in the women’s division, sparked by a late surge. Stephanie Braga starred with a hat trick, while Bianca Sy added a decisive late goal to seal their second win of the tournament.
With only one matchday remaining in the elimination round, the battle for semifinal spots has reached its most critical stage.
Throughout the competition, the continued support of the Philippine Sports Commission has been instrumental in elevating the level of play, providing a world-class platform for athletes to showcase their talent and further strengthening the country’s futsal ecosystem from grassroots to elite levels.
