Milcu Got Skills Basketball just got bigger, launching two preseason tournaments on Sunday.
The National Women’s Basketball Tournament and the National Juniors Basketball Tournament will open on the same day, with the women’s games set at Hoops Haven in Pasay City while the boys’ matches will be played at the Winterpine Basketball Court in Quezon City.
“This is another big step for Milcu Got Skills Basketball as we continue to expand the platform and give young players more opportunities to compete and grow through meaningful tournaments,” said league founder Allen Ricardo.
The women’s tournament will feature eight schools competing, divided into two pools for the group stages.
Group A is composed of Adamson University, De La Salle University, Far Eastern University, and the University of the Philippines, while Group B includes Ateneo de Manila University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of the East, and the University of Santo Tomas.

Meanwhile, the high school division will feature 12 teams split into two pools.

The Squires open the juniors’ tournament at 11 a.m. against the Staglets, followed by the Baby Tamaraws versus the Tiger Cubs, the Light Bombers against the Red Cubs, the Junior Pirates versus the Junior Altas, the Bullpups facing the Junior Warriors, and the Red Robins battling the Saints.
“We’ve always believed in providing a stage for both women’s and juniors’ basketball, and launching these tournaments together reflects our commitment to developing the sport at every level,” added Ricardo, also the head coach of the Knights.
