Farm Fresh continued its hot streak, picking up its third straight win in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, defeating Capital1, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Eli Rousseaux delivered 36 points to power the Foxies to a 3-0 record in Pool A, extending the best start in franchise history.
The Belgian import played a pivotal role in Farm Fresh’s decisive breakaway in the fourth set, securing the win after two hours and 18 minutes.
With the Foxies ahead by a point, 19-18, Rousseaux scored the final three points in the set, capped by Ces Molina’s through-the-block hit, sealing the third consecutive victory.
“We are a team that fights, we are a team that never gives up. We knew that it would be a tough game, absolutely. We were prepared for it. Belen and Bytsenko are two great scorers, and we knew that,” said Foxies head coach Alessandro Lodi.
Meanwhile, it was the local players who lifted Farm Fresh to a 2-1 set lead when the third frame was tied at 21. Rizza Cruz started the rally with a solid block on Bella Belen, while Trisha Tubu and Molina closed it out with three straight points, 25-21.
Tubu and Molina added 13 points each to complement Rousseaux, with Molina also recording 15 excellent receptions.
Alohi Robins-Hardy shone with 21 excellent sets, along with nine points from eight attacks and one block. Her performance helped the Foxies overcome a 26-error game — 10 more than the Solar Spikers committed.
“I’m super proud of the team with the progress we made just the last conference. I’m super proud of how we are fighting and continuing to learn and grow our own name,” said Robins-Hardy, the third overall pick in the 2025 Rookie Draft.
Farm Fresh aims to keep its unblemished record when it faces undefeated PLDT on Saturday at the Ynares Center Montalban.
For Capital1, Sasha Bytsenko scored 26 points on 23 spikes and three blocks, but the Solar Spikers fell to 1-2, placing fourth in their group.
Belen, the first overall pick of the 2025 Rookie Draft, contributed 20 points and 19 excellent digs. Meanwhile, Roma Mae Doromal, returning after missing the last game, added 21 excellent receptions and 15 digs.
Capital1 will look to bounce back after a nine-day break when it takes on Cignal on Oct. 31 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
