F2 Logistics cruises past Sta. Lucia for second win

Still without one import and two locals, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers showed their might, drubbing the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors, 25-21, 25-19, 25-19, for their second win in the 2019 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

The Cargo Movers missed the services of import Lindsay Stalzer, who will fly in on Sunday from Indonesia. They also had Kianna Dy out with a knee tendon injury, while Cha Cruz-Behag is dealing with a right shoulder injury.

Despite missing three potential starters, F2 Logistics had no problem silencing Sta. Lucia’s offense. F2 served eight aces and limited the Lady Realtors to just 31 attacks, while piling up 43 of their own.

F2 Logistics head coach Ramil De Jesus lauded his import Becky Perry for showing her leadership and stepping up while waiting for Stalzer to arrive.

Perry finished with an efficient 11 points.

“Noong first game namin, hindi pa alam kung ano ‘yung pwede asahan doon sa import, kasi sa practice hindi naman all-out ‘yung laro,” said De Jesus.

“Ngayon nakikita nilang pwede palang asahan ‘to. Noong una kasi, parang nangangapa sila na baka ‘yung mga local ang mag-lead sa loob. Nakita naman may leadership. Ngayon mas relax[ed] sila and mas alam nila kung ano yung strength ng bawat isa… Nakakilos ng mas maayos sa loob ngayon,” the decorated tactician added.

Ara Galang topped the Cargo Movers with 14 points off nine attacks four blocks and an ace. Meanwhile, Majoy Baron provided 11 markers.

Casey Schloenlein led the Lady Realtors with 14 markers, while Jhoana Maraguinot added eight.
