Seven games into the 2019 PVL Reinforced Conference campaign of Motolite, ace Power Builder Myla Pablo finally saw action on Wednesday.
After missing the majority of the first round due to a sore back, Motolite head coach Air Padda gave the go signal that paved the way for Pablo’s debut.
“Kinausap naman ako kahapon [ni coach] na mag-ready for today, so yun, prepared naman ako today,” the two-time PVL Most Valuable Player shared.
“Sinabi naman ni coach sa amin bago mag-game na mag-ready ka, [si] Isa Molde, Tots Carlos.”
Pablo only played in two sets in her Motolite debut and managed just three points. Still, the 24-year-old is just glad to play the game that she loves after being sidelined for weeks.
“Happy kasi ilang weeks din ako hindi nakapag-training,” she gushed.
“Almost three weeks din hindi nakapag-practice tapos ngayon bumalik ako one week lang ‘yung practice ko so medyo naninibago ako sa loob ng court.“
While she admitted not to feel any pain during the game, Pablo confided that her back acted up after their three-set loss at the hands Creamline. She assured, though, that her doctor says it is normal.
“Kanina wala hindi ko naramdaman sakit ng back ko,” she said.
“After lang, pero sabi naman ng doctor ko normal lang na sumakit yung likod ko after the game, so bumabalik yung pagiging better ng back ko.”
When asked if she’s feeling a hundred percent coming into the game, she confided that she is still working her way back to her MVP form.
“Hindi ko masabi kasi nasa sixty-percent pa lang ako ngayon,” she shared.
“Siyempre, ako naman hindi pwedeng laging babad mamaya sumakit yung back ko, baka nag-iingat lang si Coach Air.”
