Encho Serrano resurfaces, commits to La Salle

With the waves being made by the NU Bulldogs and the UP Fighting Maroons, the De La Salle University Green Archers are not going to be left behind.

The Green Archers have secured the commitment of controversial high school prospect Encho Serrano.

The development was first reported by Norman Riego of ABS-CBN Sports.

The 19-year-old guard attended his first practice at La Salle on Thursday morning, according to a source closely monitoring the situation.

The 5-foot-11 guard last made headlines when he joined AJ Edu, Juan Gomez de Liano, and Rhayyan Amsali in the 2017 FIBA Under-18 3X3 World Cup. They finished in seventh place in the 20-nation meet.

Prior to this, he was seen as the top high school prospect back in 2016.

He was part of the Adamson Soaring Falcons squad handled by Goldwin Monterverde back in Season 79.

Due to incomplete papers submitted by Adamson on Serrano’s behalf, the Soaring Falcons had to forfeit 10 of their wins to drop them to last place.

He will join Kib Montalbo, Aljun Melecio, Andrei Caracut, and Jollo Go to form La Salle’s backcourt.
