Christian Standhardinger will no longer suit up in Terrafirma’s remaining games in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup due to a hyper-extended left knee.
The 35-year-old veteran has been shut down for the remainder of the season-opening conference after sustaining the said injury late in their 133-107 defeat at the hands of NorthPort last September 8 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

It’s also why he sat out the Dyip’s 99-98 loss to the comebacking Shabazz Muhammad and Magnolia four days after the Batang Pier game.
With this, he won’t be playing anymore in Saturday’s match versus Converge, as well as in their meetings against TNT (Sept. 19) and Meralco (Sept. 21).
Standhardinger is the latest to get bitten by the injury bug within Terrafirma, a problem that the team has had even before the new season began.
It could be recalled that import Brandon Edwards suffered a knee injury literally days before the opener, leaving the Dyip scrambling for a replacement before eventually securing their former reinforcement in Antonio Hester.
During the conference, Kemark Carino and Juami Tiongson got hurt, too. The former suffered a groin injury but has since returned to the lineup.
Their main man, on the other hand, was ruled out for the remainder of the import-laden tilt due to a partial tear on his hamstring, which he suffered during their eventual 124-123 blowout loss to the Hotshots last September 1.
Standhardinger, a two-time BPC, finished the conference with averages of 16.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in six games.
