Choco Mucho rolls past Akari, extends winning streak to 4 in PVL

Choco Mucho found its rhythm in the fourth set to close out Akari, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 25-15, securing its fourth straight victory in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Saturday night at the Philsports Arena.

With the win, the Flying Titans joined a three-way tie for third to fifth place alongside Cignal and PLDT, all sporting identical 6-3 records.

After edging out Akari in a tight third set, Choco Mucho shifted into high gear in the fourth, quickly building an 11-4 lead behind the efforts of Cherry Nunag, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, and Isa Molde.

“Dun sa mga adjustments namin, ‘yung ginagawa namin like ‘yung unforced errors namin siguro na-limitahan namin,” said Choco Mucho head coach Dante Alinsunurin.

“Kung ano ‘yung tinatrabaho namin every day, ‘yung mga out of system… Sabi ko nga, the more na ma-control ‘yung mga ganung bagay kasi doon kami makakakuha ng puntos. Lumabas siya kasi tinrabaho namin every time,” he added.

Sisi Rondina led the charge for Choco Mucho with 18 points — 17 off attacks — while also contributing nine excellent digs. Manabat added 12 points, and Molde chipped in eight.
