Calvin Abueva shipped to Phoenix

After six years with the Alaska Aces, Calvin Abueva is set to play for another team come the 2018 Governors’ Cup.

Abueva has been traded to the Phoenix Fuel Masters for Karl Dehesa and a first round pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft.

The development was first reported by SPIN.ph.

“We would like to thank Calvin for his six years of service with Alaska and the good memories,” Alaska said in a statement.

“We felt as a franchise it was best for both Alaska and Calvin to have a fresh start at this time.”

The 6-foot-2 forward was suspended last June 9 by the Aces for being MIA in practice.
