Bren, Burmese Ghouls meet anew in M5


Reigning MPL Philippines champion AP Bren was slotted in Pool C while Blacklist International was drawn in Pool B of the M5 World Championship, Saturday.

Now represented by different players, AP Bren and Burmese Ghouls (Myanmar) are set to meet anew on the world stage after both being placed in Pool C alongside Mark “Hadess” Lazaro’s Team Flash (Singapore) and one team from the Wild Card Phase in Pool C.

Meanwhile, Blacklist International will take on Fire Flux Esports (Turkey), RRQ Akira (Brazil), and the second Wild Card Phase team in Pool B.

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol’s ONIC Esports (Indonesia) leads Pool A that also has Michael “MP the King” Endino and Clarense “Kousei” Camilo’s See You Soon (Cambodia) and Triple Esports of Saudi Arabia.

Lastly, Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy’s Geek Fam is in Group D along with The Ohio Brothers (USA), HomeBois (Malaysia), and Deus Veult (Russia).

Teams that are set to compete in the Wild Card are 4Merical Esports, Nightmare Esports, Team Falcons, Team SMG, Imperio, KeepBest Gaming, Team Lilgun, and Umbrella Squad.

The M5 World Championship is set to run from November 23 to December 17. The group stage will transpire at the EVM Convention Center while the playoffs will be held at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
