Twisted Minds bounced back from consecutive losses with a 2-0 sweep of AP.Bren in Week 5 of the MPL Philippines Season 16 on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.
After dropping four of their last five matches, Twisted Minds improved to 5-4, strengthening their hold on a top-four spot in the standings.
Lance “Lansu” Misa (Gloo) led Twisted Minds’ comeback in the opener, turning the tide during a 14th-minute base turret siege with a three-man stun that erased a 4,600 net worth deficit.
Miguel “Sionnn” Alcanta’s precise positioning with Pharsa proved crucial in the late game, as he finished deathless with seven kills and eight assists, securing the first game for Twisted Minds.
In Game 2, Twisted Minds quickly established dominance, taking a 4-0 kill lead by the fifth minute, with Mico “Nosia” Guevarra (Harith) spearheading the push for a 3,000 gold advantage. They never looked back, cruising to a decisive 14-minute victory.
With the loss, AP.Bren fell to 3-6, remaining in seventh place in the standings.
