Blacklist sweeps EVOS SG, sets up rematch with BTK in M3

Blacklist International closed in on the last grand finals slot in the M3 World Championship after dispatching EVOS SG, 3-0, in the lower bracket semis at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Tier One-backed squad will take on BloodThirstyKings, the same team that sent them down the lower bracket, in the losers’ finale later in the day.

Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, who earned the nickname ‘The Filipino Sniper’ for his exceptional use of Beatrix and Clint in the world meet, spearheaded the dominant 18-2 Game One win for Blacklist International.

He finished with six kills and 10 assists without a single death in 10 minutes and 14 seconds.

Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna’s Estes then powered the lopsided 15-1 Game Two win in 13 minutes and 49 seconds. The support veteran posted a game-high 12 assists in the contest.

EVOS SG showed more fight in Game Three compared to the first two games. But it was not enough to stop Blacklist International’s bid to enter the lower bracket finals.

OHEB, who started the game with two deaths, eventually finished with 12 kills, including a maniac. He also had five assists and three deaths in the 27-10 win in 17 minutes and 36 seconds.

The Blacklist International-BTK rematch will take place later at 7:00 PM.
