Bea de Leon gets restart with Creamline

Creamline beefed up its middle blocker rotation after signing former Choco Mucho team captain Bea De Leon for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.

De Leon is expected to join hands with Jeanette Panaga and Risa Sato as they try to fill the gaping hole left by Ced Domingo, who decided to transfer to Akari once her commitment with Nakhon Ratchasima ends.

The former UAAP Finals MVP is set to join a Cool Smashers squad that finished ninth in the blocking department with just a total of 68 blocks after the elimination round of the season-ending Second All-Filipino Conference, which they won via sweep.

After serving as a key cog for Choco Mucho since its entry to the league in 2019, De Leon slowly lost her place in the rotation, eventually playing as a service specialist in the Second All-Filipino Conference. Maddie Madayag and Cherry Nunag played impressively as the starting middle blockers for the Flying Titans under head coach Dante Alinsunurin, which pushed De Leon to a bench role.

The former Ateneo star is set to reunite with her former collegiate teammates Alyssa Valdez, Ella De Jesus, and Jia De Guzman, who is currently playing as an import for the Denso Airybees in Japan.

De Leon and Lazaro are set to reinforce a Cool Smashers squad that finished ninth in the blocking and digging departments following the elimination round of the previous conference.
