Andy Gemao will first head to Japan before making his much-anticipated decision.
The 19-year-old guard, widely regarded as the top prospect in the Class of 2026, has been invited to the adidas Nations Tokyo Under-19 Special Camp, which will be handled by former TNT consultant and NBA coach Bill Bayno.
Gemao is one of just two foreign players invited to the camp, alongside Penn State’s Melih Tunca.
The 6-foot guard from Surigao City recently concluded his stint with Royal Crown School in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA), where he led the team to a 19–2 regular-season record and earned a spot on the All-OSBA Second Team.
However, Royal Crown fell short in the semifinals, bowing to Fort Erie International Academy, 80–76.
After leading Letran to the NCAA Season 98 Juniors title in 2023, Gemao took his talents overseas in pursuit of bigger opportunities.
He initially tried out for Veritas Academy National Prep before eventually moving to Canada.
His brief stay in Tokyo will culminate in an All-Star Game at Toyota Arena on April 5.
Gemao is expected to make his college decision in the weeks following the camp.
