2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

60 seconds with SMART Gilas Pilipinas’ Gabe Norwood

With just a few hours until the tip-off that will begin SMART Gilas Pilipinas’ 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers campaign, let’s all get to know one of the longest-tenured soldiers of the team, Gabe Norwood.

Norwood, who has campaigned for the Philippines since 2007, has been part of a lot of moments for the program, including the thunderous slam he threw down against Luis Scola back in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

In this quick fire interview, “The President” talks about what he would have been if he had not been a basketball player and his Christmas wish of making it into the World Cup once again.

Don’t forget to catch SMART Gilas Pilipinas’ game against Japan at 6:00pm. It will be shown live over at ESPN5.
