‘Yopuck’ makes DPC debut as OB.Neon sweeps Boom to open campaign

‘Yopuck’ has finally arrived in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Thursday.

This, as Singapore Major breakout star Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer’s Puck performances gave OB Esports x Neon a winning debut, powering a 2-0 sweep against Indonesian squad Boom Esports.

The 19-year-old rising star opened up with nine kills and eight assists against four deaths in the 27-16 Game One victory. He then followed it up with an 11-3-24 kill-death-assist tally to seal the series via a 49-24 Game Two win.

OB.Neon made quick work of the Indonesians in Game One, leaning on the plays set up by Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla’s Elder Titan. That pretty much summed up the match as the Filipinos finished it in just 33 minutes and 50 seconds.

Jaunuel dished a game-high 19 assists laced with four kills and three deaths while OB.Neon carry John Anthony “Natsumi-“ Vargas’ Medusa ended up with seven kills and nine assists against one death.

The Indonesians brought the fight in Game Two, dragging the match for almost an hour by riding the back of Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Morphling. But that was not enough as the overall effort of the Filipinos prevailed late in the game.

Natsumi- finished with 17 kills and 20 assists against three deaths with his Wraith King while support Prieme Ejay “PlayHard” Maque had a whopping 38 assists along with eight kills and just three deaths playing Mirana.

The win put OB.Neon at the fourth spot with a 1-0 standing while Boom Esports will remain at the second seat with a 2-1 record.
