Vince Maglinao, Jayrack Dela Noche add firepower to Cignal roster

Cignal added more firepower to its already-formidable roster, acquiring four pieces for the next Spikers’ Turf tournament.

The HD Spikers, champions of the last three conferences of the Spikers’ Turf, signed De La Salle University’s Vince Maglinao, University of Santo Tomas’ Jay Rack Dela Noche, Perpetual’s KC Andrade, and Fil-Canadian Lhexen Rabit.

“We’re looking to continue to build on the Cignal HD brand of excellence for men’s volleyball,” said HD Spikers head coach Dexter Clamor.

Kami nga yung pinakamatagal na pro squad here sa Philippines and we’re always looking for ways to improve. Hopefully, with these new additions, we’ll be ready to defend our crown in the upcoming conferences.”

Maglinao was an explosive outside spiker but saw limited production in his final season with the Green Spikers as he nursed a right ankle sprain in the first half of the tournament.

Dela Noche, on the other hand, delivered a fantastic final year for the Golden Spikers. He ranked 12th in scoring in the league after the elimination round with 155 total points.

Both Maglinao and Dela Noche are expected to contribute not only offensively but also defensively, with both players having a background playing beach volleyball.

The most intriguing name in the recent haul of Cignal, though, is Rabit — an unknown in Philippine volleyball.

Rabit played libero for Toronto Metropolitan University and Queen’s University in Canada.

He will fill in the spot of defensive specialist Sandy Montero, who announced his retirement after winning the 2025 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference crown.

Lastly, middle blocker Andrade is no stranger to the HD Spikers, having faced them when he was still part of the Altas.

He was a one-time Best Middle Blocker in the NCAA.
