Savouge bolstered its championship aspirations by signing former Cignal stars Louie Ramirez and JP Bugaoan ahead of the 2026 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference, the team announced Friday morning.
The Spin Doctors also secured KC Andrade, following Cignal’s decision to take a leave of absence for the season-opening conference.
Ramirez and Bugaoan are expected to make an immediate impact, bringing proven championship experience to a Savouge squad that has reached the semifinals in three consecutive conferences but has yet to advance to the finals.
At just 25, Ramirez is a two-time champion with Cignal and was named Finals MVP during the Super Spikers’ 2024 Invitational Conference run. He also represented Alas Pilipinas in last year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Bugaoan is a four-time Best Middle Blocker awardee and played a key role in six of Cignal’s nine Spikers’ Turf championships.
Andrade, though seeing limited action with the Super Spikers, is a proven contributor at the collegiate level, having earned a Best Middle Blocker award with Perpetual.
Together with Mark Calado, Shawie Caritativo, and Giles Torres, these new additions complete a Savouge core determined to turn its recent semifinal appearances into a breakthrough finals run.
