Twenty-four hours after testing positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), Thirdy Ravena gave an update on his condition.
And by the looks of it, the 23-year-old Asian import of San-En is recovering pretty well.
“All good over here,” said Ravena.
“I feel well already but have to follow quarantine protocols indefinitely.”
Last Thursday, the 6-foot-3 winger experienced fever and sore throat. NeoPhoenix brass immediately sent him to Toyohashi City Health Center to be tested. They later on transferred him to a health facility under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan to get him the standard COVID-19 tests.
Friday morning, the result came out and it was positive.
The team’s statement relayed that Ravena’s fever had subsided late Friday, while the soreness on his throat was gone.
Ravena averaged 12.0 points 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in five games played for San-En.
It will be a long process before Ravena can re-join his team, since he has to wait for his tests to come out negative before going through a final quarantine.
“Appreciate all the love and concern over the past 24 hours,” expressed Ravena.
“Just a reminder that the virus is still out there so let’s not take it for granted. Stay safe everyone!”
