SEA Games: For fourth straight time, Amit meets Centeno in final


Finally, a final between Rubilen Amit and Chezka Centeno is happening at the 31st Southeast Asian Games.

The two Filipino cue artists found themselves disputing the women’s 10-ball title following their respective victories in the semifinals, Friday at the Ha Dong Gymnasium in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Amit will have a chance for her second gold medal of the Games after trouncing Thailand’s Pennipa Nakjui, 7-0, earlier this morning.

Centeno, who missed on a medal in the 9-ball singles, on her part, climbed from 0-3 down, and snagged the semifinal win over Vietnam’s Bui Xan Vang, 7-5.

The two met in the gold medal match of the 10-ball singles here in Manila where the younger Centeno won.

Both Amit and Centeno also met in the finale of the 2017 games in Kuala Lumpur and 2015 games in Singapore but in 9-ball.

The final between the two Filipino standouts is on Sunday.
