RP Blu Girls secure 10th straight SEAG crown

MABALACAT, PAMPANGA — The RP Blu Girls remain the queens of the diamond.

The Philippines made quick work of Indonesia in the 30th Southeast Asian Games finals, needing just five innings to take an 8-0 win, Sunday at the Villages.

Not leaving anything to chance, the Philippines scored eight runs in the second inning to turn the game into a romp.

This is the Philippines’ 10th crown in the biennial meet. In this edition, the Blu Girls finished the tournament with a 6-game sweep.

Skipper and catcher Cheska Altomonte and Garnet Blando are pondering on retiring for the national team program.
