PVL: Rondina powers Choco Mucho sweep of Foton for Pool B lead

Choco Mucho surged to its second consecutive win after cruising past Foton, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14 in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference on Saturday at the FilOil EcoOil Center.

Sisi Rondina picked up where she left off. She unloaded a game-high 19 points on 15 attacks, three blocks, and an ace, along with six digs, to help the Flying Titans take the solo lead in Pool B with a 2-0 standing.

“Sobrang masaya kami sa naging resulta. Sa pagkapanalo namin ‘tong ngayon, unti-unti na kaming natututo manalo kasi yun naman gusto namin mangyari step by step talaga,” said Choco Mucho head coach Dante Alinsunurin.

“Bawat game kailangan namin makuha talagang plano namin sa training namin,” he added.

After comfortably winning the first two sets, the Flying Titans stepped up their game in the third set. Chery Nunag secured back-to-back points, giving Choco Mucho a nine-point advantage at 20-11.

The Tornadoes failed to mount a comeback, committing a string of errors that allowed the Rebisco-backed squad to secure the victory.
