Creamline extended its dominant run in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference to six games with a 25-12, 25-21, 25-19 victory over Nxled at the Philsports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday.
The Cool Smashers had little trouble in the match, improving their record to a league-best 6-0. This win also extended their winning streak to 16 games, dating back to the second round of the 2024 Reinforced Conference.
With the Chameleons ahead 18-15 in the third set, a series of errors doomed Nxled. The Cool Smashers capitalized, closing the match with a 10-1 run to complete the sweep in just one hour and 35 minutes.
“Siyempre masaya kami at yung mga players nagde-deliver lagi pag pinapasok sila. Siyempre magagamit namin [iyon] sa mga future games namin na makalaro lahat ng players namin, so siguro blessing lang din yung — sa Creamline yung talagang manalo ng maganda,” said Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses.
“At least, napapakita ng mga players namin yung strength nila palagi. So, sa next game, focus kami doon sa next game kung sino yung tamang combination na maglalaro.”
Meneses rotated all 14 players in the game, with each player scoring at least one point. Bernadeth Pons led the way with 13 points and 12 digs, despite playing just two sets.
Tots Carlos added 10 points, while Alyssa Valdez contributed seven. Pangs Panaga, Lorie Bernardo, Bea de Leon, and Jema Galanza each chipped in five points.
Creamline will aim to keep its perfect record intact when they face Cignal on Saturday.
Nxled, meanwhile, saw its losing streak extend to eight games in this conference and 15 overall, dating back to the Reinforced Conference.
Only five players scored for the Chameleons, with Jaycel delos Reyes leading the way with seven points. Lycha Ebon, May Luna, and Lucille Almonte each added six.
Nxled will look to bounce back when they face Galeries Tower on February 8.
