Philip “Popoy” Juico (December 14, 1947-October 31, 2026), former Philippine Sports Commission chairman and Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association president, passed away on Saturday evening.
He was 78.
His son, Vincent, confirmed his passing in a statement, saying Juico died at 8:18 p.m. at the Makati Medical Center.
“It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my father, Philip ‘Popoy’ Juico, who passed away yesterday evening at 8:18 pm at the Makati Medical Center,” Vincent said.
