Phnom Penh Crown secures Jarvey Gayoso

Philippine men’s national team striker Jarvey Gayoso has finally earned his move abroad.

Cambodian powerhouse Phnom Penh Crown FC revealed that it has signed the two-time Philippines Football League champion on Thursday evening.

Gayoso, who has represented Kaya-Iloilo in two spells, is leaving the club with 43 goals scored in domestic and international competitions, along with the 2023 Copa Paulino Alcantara, to go along with his two league titles.

Phnom Penh Crown hopes that the Ateneo great can bolster its attack in its upcoming campaign, especially since it finished second to eventual champion Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC during the regular season and championship round.

Moreover, Phnom Penh Crown’s second-place finish means it won’t represent the Cambodian Premier League in the upcoming 2024–25 ASEAN Club Championship and 2024–25 AFC Challenge League.

This move has been a long time coming for the 6-foot-1 forward, whose previous transfer to Muangthong United back in 2020 did not materialize.

With the 2024–25 CPL set to start next month, Gayoso and his teammates will aim to bring home their club’s eighth crown in the division.

The scion of the Ocampo and Gayoso sporting families will join fellow national team teammate Pocholo Bugas, who is currently signed with Angkor Tiger.
