Owgwen crowned MPL PH 11 MVP

Bren Esports roamer Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo was named the Most Valuable Player of MPL Philippines Season 11’s regular season in just his second season on Sunday afternoon.

Owgwen finished on top of the assists ranking after the regular season, averaging 8.25 assists per game.

His improved play helped transform Bren Esports into a legitimate title contender, leading the team to a league-best 11-3 win-loss record in the regular season and placing them in the upper bracket playoffs for the first time since Season 7.

Unfortunately, Bren Esports faltered in the playoffs, losing to eventual grand finalist Blacklist International via a 1-3 decision in the upper bracket semis before suffering another 1-3 loss to ECHO in the lower bracket semis.

Bren Esports once again settled for a fourth-place finish.

Meanwhile, Blacklist International mid-laner Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo bagged the Rookie of the Season Award.

Yue helped the reigning champion finish third in the regular season.
