ONE Championship, Global Citizen up the ante with ‘Together At Home’ special


The COVID-19 pandemic may have temporarily paralyzed much of the world’s economy, but it cannot silence the people.

That is what ONE Championship and Global Citizen will show on Sunday, April 19 when it airs the Global Citizen One World: Together At Home Global Music Special.

The Home Of Martial Arts will be an official broadcaster of the online musical extravaganza, which goes live at 2:00AM PHT on the ONE Championship Facebook page and the ONE Super App.

Stars like Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler, Andrea Bocelli, Awkwafina, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Chris Martin, David & Victoria Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Ellen DeGeneres, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, LL COOL J, Lupita Nyong’o, Maluma, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, Paul McCartney, Pharrell Williams, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Smith, Shah Rukh Khan, Shawn Mendes, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Usher, will have performances on that event.

It will be hosted by late-night stars Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel, and curated in collaboration with Lady GaGa.

All proceeds raised during the global broadcast will go directly to the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

ONE Championship megastars will also be active in the ‘Together At Home’ initiative. Athletes such as Vitor Belfort, Brandon “The Truth” Vera, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, Alain “The Panther” Ngalani, “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, Christian “The Warrior” Lee, Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, and Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, and ONE Championship Vice President Miesha Tate will share tips on how to stay active at home and answer fans’ questions about physical fitness.

The Home Of Martial Arts also opened the opened ONE.SHOP, and 10 percent of proceeds will go to the World Health Organization’s Solidarity Fund and select communities.

The store also has two limited edition ‘We Are ONE’ shirts, and 100 percent of the proceeds from these shirts will go to the COVID-19 relief efforts.

ONE Championship will also re-air the show on their Facebook and YouTube pages and the ONE Super App in the 24 hours following the event.
