There isn’t any new development yet whatsoever regarding the discussions about Robert Bolick’s potential PBA comeback via NorthPort.
Head coach Bonnie Tan said that both camps have yet to reach a breakthrough in their talks as the star guard remains busy with family matters.
“Naguusap pa rin,” the seasoned mentor told reporters moments after the Batang Pier’s 108-102 win over Terrafirma in the Commissioner’s Cup, Friday night at the SMART Araneta Coliseum. “Hindi pa natatapos. Ongoing pa.”
Bolick re-entered negotiations with the team that picked him third overall in the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft after going back to the country last month.
The 28-year-old returned home as he asked to be released from Fukushima of the B.League due to the delicate pregnancy of his wife.
But it has been a month since Tan shared about the talks to reporters during the PBA Media Day, yet both parties are still in a stalemate.
“‘Di ko lang alam kung may mga figures na sila or what. Hindi ko alam. That I cannot answer. But ‘yung usapan, meron,” said Tan.
The second-year head coach, though, isn’t ruling out the possibility of Bolick suiting up for NorthPort once more some time this season.
“That I cannot answer, but it’s possible. We have ‘yung rights ni Bolick,” said Tan. “Next time, invite natin to cheer for the team.”
