After months of negotiations, Converge and Maverick Ahanmisi finally found their middle ground.
The FiberXers have announced that they have signed the 6-foot-2 combo guard out of University of Minnesota to a one-year deal at the team’s office.
Present in the signing were team manager Dickie Bachmann and human resources head Albert Custodio.
Ahanmisi and Converge have been on a standstill over the past few months.
According to a source, Ahanmisi was previously represented by ‘unlicensed’ agency Argus Ossa Sports.
In the end, the 30-year-old guard from Los Angeles, California opted to do the negotiations all by himself.
In fact, Ahanmisi was on hand during Converge’s PBA debut last Sunday against Rain or Shine.
Ahanmisi averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.1 steals during the Philippine Cup last year. In Alaska’s last-ever conference, he normed 8.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.2 assists in 13 games played.
