Denzil Walker leaves UP, eyes Letran transfer

Denzil Walker has left University of the Philippines after a two-year stay at Diliman.

The 6-foot-4 wing player decided to depart Diliman in a mutual decision.

Walker, a Filipino-American who was raised in Minnessota, played only five games for the Maroons last season.

Like Aldous Torculas, Walker is considering a move to the NCAA, but with Colegio de San Juan de Letran emerging as his likely destination. However, he has yet to make a final commitment.

San Beda remains in play for his services.

Walker is expected to announce his decision this week, according to multiple sources closely following the situation.

Before joining UP, Walker started his collegiate career at Central Lakes College, a junior college in the United States.

He still has three years of eligibility remaining.
