Over the last three weeks, the Blackwater Elite have been one busy team with all the trades involving their squad.
Over the said span, the Dioceldo Sy-owned franchise has sent away sniper Mike DiGregorio, gunner Allein Maliksi, sophomore bruiser Raymar Jose, and rookie Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.
With all the trades trades, one can’t help but wonder which player they will trade next. But for Mac Belo, the Elite’s pick in the 2016 special draft, it doesn’t bother him.
As long as naglalaro ako, ‘yun naman importante.”
Belo has his reasons to remain unaffected by rumors. After all, the Elite have now signed him to a max contract — a three-year, 16.2 million-peso deal, for which he is extremely grateful.
“Happy ako and blessed na nakita naman nila ‘yung hard work ko,” said the Far Eastern University product.
The Elite’s decision to give Belo a max deal says that he is part of their future plans, and that he could be their leader moving forward. So for the 26-year-old, he takes that as a challenge.
“It’s a challenge for me,” Belo said.
