PBA approves trade sending Parks to TNT

Ray Parks is now headed to TNT, as the PBA Commissioner’s Office has approved the trade between the KaTropa and the Blackwater Elite, as per a report on Sunday morning.

The Elite will acquire Don Trollano, Anthony Semerad, and a 2021 first-round draft pick in return.

The initial deal would have seen them exchange Parks for the 6-foot-3 Trollano, and 2019 and 2021 first-round picks.

However, Blackwater nixed the offer since it wanted TNT to sweeten the deal. That prompted the flagship MVP franchise to include 3-and-D specialist Semerad in place of the 2019 pick.

This now the second trade involving the KaTropa in this 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, where they are a 7-1. They first traded Brian Heruela for shooter Mike DiGregorio also to the Elite.

Blackwater, meanwhile, has figured in its third trade in about three weeks. Prior to this, it had sent Allein Maliksi and Raymar Jose to the Meralco Bolts for KG Cañaleta, Mike Tolomia, and future picks.
