Lusty clutch knock-up triggers Bren’s statement comeback vs Blacklist in MPL PH

The world champions just sent a statement to the whole league.

Allan “Lusty” Castromayor’s late knock-up in Game Two helped Bren Esports deal Blacklist International its first loss of the season after a reverse 2-1 sweep in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Thursday evening.

After bagging Game One, it was all Blacklist International once again in the following match, burying the defending champions as early as the get-go through aggressive plays from Mark “ESON” Gerardo’s Grock.

The Tier One-backed squad, after clearing all but one of Bren Esports’ turrets, was poised to seal the sweep.

But a game-changing knock up from Allan “Lusty” Castromayor’s Popol and Kupa on Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Granger), Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna (Estes), and ESON (Grock), allowed Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (Claude) to pop his Blazing Duet to its full extent — which led to a five-man wipe and eventually, the win.

CJ “Ribo” Ribo, who played a vital role in Bren’s defense, was awarded the SMART MVP award with a 4-0-4 kill-death-assist tally in the 11-12, 22:18-minute win.MPL-PH-Season-7-Bren-def-Blacklist-Game-2 Lusty clutch knock-up triggers Bren's statement comeback vs Blacklist in MPL PH ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

That win propelled Bren Esports to a dominant Game Three win with KarlTzy showing off a monster Benedetta performance.

“Ano, huwag lang papalag saka ‘wag manggigil kasi doon kami natatalo pa lagi sa lahat ng laban namin kapag nanggigigil,” said Ribo in the MPL post-match interview.

“Siguro napaghandaan lang din [namin sila], saka malakas talaga sila.”

Bren Esports’ early game prowess with the Lancelot of KarlTzy was on full display in Game One, but the sustain strategy of Blacklist International allowed them to take the first game of the series.

Wise’s itemization was on point in the opener, going full defensive with his Granger to minimize the pickoff potential of the defending champions.

That, along with the heal coming from OhMyV33NUS’ Estes and the zoning from Edward “Edward” Dapadap’s Kagura, keyed the Game One win.

Edward received the SMART MVP award after finishing with seven kills and three deaths in the 15-11 win which lasted for 17 minutes and 12 seconds.MPL-PH-Season-7-Bren-def-Blacklist-Game-1 Lusty clutch knock-up triggers Bren's statement comeback vs Blacklist in MPL PH ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news
