La Salle gets three one-and-dones for UAAP Season 82

The De La Salle University Green Archers are going all-in for their UAAP Season 82 Men’s Basketball campaign.

According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation told Tiebreaker Times, the Green Archers have secured the commitment of three one-and-done Filipino-foreigners for the season.

The three are 6-foot combo guard Keyshawn Evans, 6-foot-7 forward Jamie Orme, and 6-foot-9 big man James Laput.

The trio has already graduated and will enroll in a master’s program in La Salle.

Evans, who is 23 years old, played four years with the Illinois State Redbirds. He had a career average of 8.5 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds.

Evans graduated with a degree in Marketing – Professional Sales.

Orme, on the other hand, played his junior and senior season with Portland State University Vikings, averaging 6.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He spent his first two years in Highline Community College.

The tallest in the bunch, Fil-Aussie James Laput spent all four of his years in Division II school Young Harris College. In his senior year, he started 14 games, totaling 21 points and 38 rebounds.

Laput graduated with a degree in Business and Public Policy.

The Green Archers have also secured the commitment of 6-foot-5 swingman Andrew Singson. He recently graduated from Rock Ridge High School and is eligible for Season 82.

“He will be a six-foot-five combo guard, that’s what he’ll bring to the team — flexibility for their lineup to go with length,” said FilAm Sports head coach Bong Ulep about Singson.

“Although he needs to get acquainted first to the style of play over there and has to get stronger.”

Together with recruits Joshua David and Joel Cagulangan, they are tasked to fill the hole left by Kib Montalbo, Santi Santillan, Taane Samuel, Mark Dyke, Jollo Go, and Miggy Corteza.
