It did not take a vacation in Japan for Kevin Quiambao to make his decision.
The reigning UAAP Men’s Basketball Most Valuable Player has decided to stay on for at least one more year with De La Salle University.
The all-around 6-foot-6 forward made the announcement on Wednesday — a week after leading the Green Archers to their first title in seven years.
“Playing for DLSU has been one of the greatest blessings in my life,” he said.
“After constant consultations with my family and friends, we’re excited to run it back and try to make it back-to-back.”
In his second year, Quiambao was nothing short of spectacular.
He averaged 16.39 points, 10.44 rebounds, 5.17 assists, and 1.61 steals during the season, winning Regular Season MVP, Finals MVP, and making it to the Mythical Five.
Now, as he says, the MVP Tour continues.
