Kevin Ferrer was in high spirits on Saturday, a couple of days after having surgery to repair the torn Achilles tendon he suffered last Wednesday.
The 30-year-old forward had surgery on Thursday at University of Santo Tomas Hospital and was immediately discharged a day later.
Now, the long road to recovery begins for the 6-foot-5 skipper of Terrafirma.
It usually takes 10 to 12 months to recover from such an injury – the same injury suffered by Alex Cabagnot back in December 2021.
Losing Ferrer is a tough blow for Terrafirma, who only won a total of three games last season.
Ferrer, who only arrived at the Dyip camp last January, was seen as one of the leaders of the team heading into Season 48.
