Execration handed second loss in DPC by Boom


Execration was handed their second loss of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season Two-Southeast Asia Upper Division after dropping a tightly-contested Game Three en route to a 1-2 loss at the hands of Boom Esports, Thursday evening.

Yuri “Yowe” Pacaña, who went back to his previous position in the middle, had a decent outing in the series-clincher for Execration with eight kills and 20 assists against four deaths playing Ember Spirit.

That, however, was not enough as the Filipinos surrendered a tight 35-36 outcome to Boom Esports in 38 minutes and 38 seconds of game time.

Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra was unstoppable with his Ursa, finishing with 15 kills and eight assists against four deaths to lead Boom Esports in Game Three. He also finished with a game-high 29,554 net worth through 764 gold per minute.

Boom Esports resident midlaner Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman (Storm Spirit) backstopped his carry with nine kills, eight deaths, and 11 assists while offlaner Saieful “Fbz” Ilham (Bristleback) had seven kills, four deaths, and 11 assists.

Meanwhile for Execration, newly acquired carry Jinn “Palos” Lamatao’s Phantom Assassin had eight kills and 12 assists against six deaths while Ralph “RR” Peñano’s Grimstroke ended up with a game-high 23 assists laced with four kills and eight deaths in the Game Three loss.

Boom Esports annihilated the all-Filipino squad in the opener, with Dreamocel’s Bloodseeker leading the 42-9 dominant Game One win for the Indonesians. But Execration managed to secure Game Two behind Yowe’s Ember Spirit and Don Carlo “BDz” Manalo’s Snapfire.

Boom Esports is currently tied at the top spot with Omega Esports and TNC Predator as they share identical 1-0 records while Execration moved to the bottom with a 0-2 standing.
