Cla Loresco received much interest from UAAP schools after the UAAP Season 86 campaign of Far Eastern University-Diliman ended.
Despite the number of offers she received, the 6-foot-1 blocker out of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan chose where her heart wanted her to be — to continue her collegiate education at FEU.
And it’s because Loresco still has some unfinished business left that she hopes to settle with the Lady Tamaraws.
“Masaya ako dito and marami naitulong ang FEU sa akin, lalo na yung mga coaches ko,” she said.
“Sabi ko kasi sa sarili ko, diba po kasi graduating na rin po ako and hindi na ko makakabawi next season for high school so babawi na lang po ako sa college.
“Kaya after ng Season 86 high school tournament namin sabi ko na gustong gusto ko pa lumaban for FEU,” continued Loresco, who powered the Baby Tams to back-to-back Final Four finishes in the girls’ division.
Last season, FEU-D finished with a 6-4 record to secure bronze.
This year, the Baby Tams bowed to the NUNS Lady Bullpups in the first stage of the stepladder, 25–17, 25–19, 25–23.
FEU Athletics Director Mark Molina shared that Loresco will be a big part of their women’s volleyball program.
“We are very happy to have Clarisse join the Lady Tams.
“FEU athletics is all about player development and we take pride in having our FEU Diliman High School athletes join the college teams of FEU Manila. Clarisse will be a big part of the future of FEU volleyball as we continue to build a championship-caliber program,” said Molina.
