Chery Tiggo acquires Montenegrin Bokan as import for 2020 PSL Grand Prix

A seasoned internationalist enters the fold for Chery Tiggo in a bid to make a mark in the Philippine Superliga landscape.

The Crossovers — formerly the Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy — have tapped the services of Tatjana Bokan. The club team announced the arrival of the 31-year-old import through its official social media accounts, Tuesday evening.

“The long wait is over! Welcome to the Philippines and welcome to the Team, Tatjana “Tanja” Bokan!” the announcement read.

Bokan is a Montenegro-bred opposite hitter who has played in numerous club teams across the globe.

The 6-foot-1 outside hitter once suited up for Hisamitsu Seiyaku Spring in the 2015 AVC Asian Club Women’s Volleyball Championship. There, she had a chance to square off against a Dindin Santiago-Manabat-led Petron.

Bokan is primed to power up Chery Tiggo’s arsenal, which boasts the likes of Shaya Adorador, Mylene Paat, and Joy Dacoron. She could even team up with the towering Santiago siblings to put up a formidable frontline, if ever the sisters will be able to return in time following their respective stints in Japan.

The import-flavored tournament will raise its curtains in February.
