Blacklist International surges past RSG PH, climbs to 6th in MPL PH

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Blacklist International powered through RSG Philippines with a dominant 2-0 sweep to continue their late rise in the MPL Philippines Season 14 on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

This crucial win boosted Blacklist’s standing to 6th place with a 3-8 record, while RSG Philippines dropped to 7th with a 3-5 record.

The victory was a much-needed result for the Codebreakers as they continue to climb in the rankings.

Blacklist’s success in Game 2 hinged on the consistent performances of Salic “Hadji” Imam (Lou Yi) and Kiel “OHEB” Soriano (Moskov).

The duo delivered a combined KDA of eight kills, 11 assists, and just two deaths, showcasing their ability to turn the tide of the game.

During the 19th minute, as RSG attempted to push through Blacklist’s bottom-lane turret, Hadji and OHEB capitalized on an opening, picking off four RSG members. This decisive play allowed Blacklist to make a straight push through the mid-lane and end the game just a minute later.

“Improving sila compared noong mga nakaraang week. Kumbaga medyo natututunan na namin yung mga mistakes namin from the past weeks. So kumbaga, improving kami. So, wait na lang po next week, medyo mas magi-improve pa po kami,” said Blacklist analyst Jayson “BomBi” Echem in the post-match interview, expressing optimism about the team’s upward trajectory.

In Game 1, Michael “MP The King” Endino stole the spotlight with his stellar performance on Hayabusa, dominating the 16-minute, 36-second match.

The game ended with a 16-3 kill score, with MP The King securing the majority of the kills.
