Former Onic Philippines mainstays Allen “Balorksie” Baloy and Mark “Markyyyyy” Capacio will reunite in Indonesia as they will play for Geek Slate for the upcoming MPL Indonesia Season 12, the team announced on Wednesday.
This will be the first time that the two will banner the same team after they left Onic Philippines following a 4th place finish in Season 9 that sparked the “Filipino import” era.
Baloyskie and Makyyyyy were best remembered for their runner-up finishes in the MPL Philippines Season 8 and M3 World Championship. Both times, they came behind compatriot Blacklist International.
Makyyyyy will bolster a squad that also lost Jaymark “Janaaqt” Lazaro after he was loaned to Blacklist International.
Geek Slate also welcomed former Onic Prodigy jungler Nnael into the squad for their upcoming season campaign.
Geek Slate had a breakthrough performance in Season 11, finishing 5th-6th after missing all post-seasons since the team joined MPL ID in Season 4.
