B.League: Clutch Kiefer free throws snap Shiga’s 17-game skid

Behind Kiefer Ravena’s endgame heroic, Shiga scored an upset of Osaka, taking a 79-78 win to end their 17-game losing streak in the 2021-22 B.League season, Saturday at Ukaru-chan Arena.

With the team trailing by a point in the dying seconds of the contest, Shiga saw a bright light after a number of missed opportunities haunted Osaka.

Coming off a miss from Makoto Kinoshita, Novar Gadson secured the board which led to Ravena being fouled.

Ravena sank both of his free throws which gave the Lakestars a one-point advantage, 79-78, with 18 seconds on the clock.

Ravena though committed a crucial turnover in the final two seconds which gave Osaka one last chance to steal the game. Unfortunately for Evessa, they were not even able to make a shot as the Lakestars completed the upset.

Shiga and Osaka will meet once again tomorrow.
