Beyond the PFF, Gastañes also held other significant roles in sports administration.
He served as the General Secretary of the Philippine Olympic Committee and contributed to various positions within the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), further solidifying his reputation as a passionate advocate for the growth of sports in the region.
