Embattled David keeps mum, will not let personal affairs affect work

Gary David refused to speak about the alleged case filed by his wife, saying that he will only talk about it once he receives the subpoena and in the proper venue.

In a story by SPIN.ph, the publication has obtained documents filed by Jenny Rose David at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Quezon City. The alleged suit revolves around a claim that David had violated the Republic Act 9262, known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act.

David though claims that he has not heard about it, only knowing about the annulment suit the married couple filed.

Dun na lang,” the 13-year league veteran furthered. “Ayaw ko muna pag-usapan ‘yung ganiyan. Hintayin ko na lang yung subpeona.”

A father of four children, David vows to be professional as he goes through this ordeal. He even played in Mahindra’s 80-109 loss to the San Miguel Beermen on Wednesday night, scoring 13 markers in 15 minutes of action.

“Sa akin, ever since, kung ano man ang problema ko, hindi ko [pinapabayaan] ang trabaho ko,” David, who is also serving as an assistant coach to the Lyceum Pirates, said.

“Basta laro lang hangga’t kaya,” the four-time scoring champion stated.
