Farm Fresh storms into first-ever PVL semifinals with sweep of Nxled

Farm Fresh completed its brief detour in the play-in round with a stunning 25-17, 25-20, 25-19 sweep of Nxled in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference, securing the franchise’s first-ever semifinal berth on Tuesday at the Filoil Centre.

The Foxies, who were knocked down by PLDT in the qualifying round, bounced back with a strong showing against the Chameleons. They now join the High Speed Hitters and Cignal in the round-robin semifinals.

This marks the first time Farm Fresh will compete in the semifinals since entering the league in 2023.

“Yes, today was a good game. Thank you so much, Nxled team. My whole team played well. This is Farm Fresh’s first time in the semifinals. Everyone is experiencing this for the first time,” said Foxies head coach Koji Tsuzurabara.

“But I don’t know about the next game. We are always the challengers, so we will do our best. I want us to create — no, we must create a new history for Farm Fresh. I appreciate the Nxled team. Thank you so much,” he added.

Alohi Robins-Hardy set the tone for Farm Fresh, delivering 16 excellent sets and five points. She orchestrated a balanced offensive attack that kept Nxled guessing throughout the one-hour and 30-minute match.

Trisha Tubu led the scoring for the Foxies, who committed only 11 errors, with 12 points on 10 attacks and two kill blocks. Ces Molina added 10 points, all from attacks, along with 11 excellent receptions.

Ara Galang delivered her best performance in a Farm Fresh uniform, finishing with nine points and six excellent receptions. Meanwhile, Riri Meneses and Royse Tubino contributed seven and five markers, respectively.

Nxled showed early resistance in the third set, taking an 8-6 lead at the first technical timeout.

But the Foxies quickly shifted momentum, going on a 10-1 run to take a 16-9 advantage, capped by a Tubu hit that sealed the set and the match.

The semifinals are set to begin on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Nxled, which retooled by acquiring the core of defending champion Petro Gazz, saw its campaign end after falling short in the final play-in round.

Reigning MVP Brooke Van Sickle led the Chameleons with 13 points and 11 excellent receptions, while MJ Phillips contributed 11 points on nine attacks and two kill blocks.

Myla Pablo, who exited late in the third set due to a left ankle sprain, finished with nine markers. Bang Pineda stood out defensively with 14 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions.
