UFC exec confirms three bouts for Fight Night Manila 2

“It’s good to be back!”

The Ultimate Fighting Championship hosted its pre-sale press conference for Fight Night Manila: Lamas vs. Penn at the Forbes Ballroom of the Conrad Hotel in Pasay City Wednesday afternoon. UFC Fight Night Manila 2 will be on Saturday, October 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

UFC Asia general manager Ken Berger, who presided over last year’s UFC Fight Night Manila: Edgar vs. Faber press conferences, reflected on last year’s card to start off the program.

“Not too long ago, the UFC had a Fight Night to remember. We were electrified and Filipino fighters turned into warriors in the Octagon,” Berger shared.

“The event also saw one of the most epic moments in UFC history as veteran Mark Munoz fought in the Octagon for the last time.”

The executive VP of UFC Asia then reaffirmed its commitment to the Filipino fight fan.

“One thing we can guarantee this year is that we are committed to the Filipino fight fans and giving them a show that they will tell their family and friends,” he added.

“The Philippines is the blue print for Asia. Lots of things are going on here and things are going to be great.”

To close out, Berger then confirmed the three fights for the event, including the headliners for the historic event.
