All the UAAP games set to be played at the historic Rizal Memorial Sports Complex for February 6, 2016 have been postponed.
The University of Santo Tomas (hosts of the UAAP Season 78 Tennis tournament) and the De La Salle University (hosts of the UAAP Season 78 Softball Championship) have deemed that the Rizal Memorial Tennis Courts and the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium are not playable for the day due to the inclement weather.
Scheduled matches for the day were as follows:
UAAP Season 78 Men’s Tennis:
8:00am Ateneo (1-1) vs. UST (1-1)
11:00am UE (1-1) vs. La Salle (0-2)
2:00pm NU (2-0) vs. UP (1-1)
UAAP Season 78 Women’s Tennis:
8:00am Ateneo (0-1) vs. La Salle (1-1)
12:00pm NU (1-0) vs. UST (2-0) (UAAP Season 77 Finals rematch)
UAAP Season 78 Softball:
9:00am UST (2-1) vs. La Salle (1-1)
11:00am UP (2-1) vs. UE (0-3)
1:00pm Adamson (2-0) vs. Ateneo (0-3)
The postponed tennis ties are set to be played on February 13, 2016 as said by tournament commissioner Andy Maglipon. Postponed softball games are tentatively scheduled to be played on the 15th of February.
