Moala Tautuaa did not play in Talk ‘N Text’s 107-96 win over Globalport Friday night due to back spasms, and it is still questionable if he can suit up in time for the Tropang Texters’ clash against Ginebra this coming Sunday.
“It’s still up in the air,” Tautuaa said after the Tropang Texters’ victory over the Batang Pier.
The no. 1 overall pick of this year’s draft is averaging 14.2 PPG and 5.6 RPG in the Philippine Cup.
TNT’s other frontcourt player Ranidel de Ocampo meanwhile, is aiming for a return early next year.
“Mga January pa siguro,” De Ocampo said, adding although he is already fine, he is not going to rush his return to the hardwood. “Dun tayo sa sigurado,” De Ocampo added.
He added he has not yet joined TNT scrimmages.
The Tropang Texters forward was diagnosed with a herniated disc late in October. He sustained the injury during a weight training session and was ruled out for about six to eight weeks.
