T1: Brickman tallies 15 assists, Heading held to low as Kaohsiung beats Taichung

In their final meeting for the elimination round, Jason Brickman got the better of Jordan Heading.

This as Kaohsiung routed Taichung Wagor, 98-81, in the 2021-22 T1 League season, Sunday at National Taiwan University of Sport Gymnasium.

With the win, the Aquas won their series over the Suns, 4-2. Moreover, Kaohsiung remained at pole position with a 14-5 slate while dropping Taichung to 11-8 — just half-a-game ahead of Taiwan Beer for the third spot.

Brickman had himself a game in this one, tallying 15 assists against just three turnovers and 10 points.

Heading, meanwhile, figured in foul trouble all game long. He was limited to just two points on 0-of-6 shooting from the field.

Holding an 82-77 lead midway through the final frame, Ferrakohn Hall sparked a 14-4 endgame assault that silenced the home crowd and lift his side to its second straight win.

Besides Brickman, five other Aquas scored in double-digits.

Both Mindaugas Kupšas and Hu Longmao got 19 points each with the Lithuanian also grabbing 12 rebounds.

Lin Jenhong and Hall both had 14 points while Yu Chuanan chipped in 12 markers.

Sani Sakakini paced Taichung with 26 points and 14 rebounds while Chen Chinghuan added 19 points built on four treys. Anthony Tucker, meanwhile, was limited to just 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field.

Kaohsiung will next face Taoyuan on March 19 to begin their four-game home stand while Taichung heads to Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science Shao Tsung Gymnasium on the same day to face Tainan.
